Cognitive Assessment - Comprehensive

Understand specific areas of cognition that are impaired

Service Description

This comprehensive assessment process measures all aspects of cognition, daily functioning, and subjective areas of decline. This assessment is suitable for people diagnosed with brain injury or disease, or if disease is suspected. It is also suitable to assess cognition when planning cognitive remediation. If changes in memory or thinking (that is, cognition) disrupt daily life or if a person is often confused with time, dates, or places these changes may be signs of, or indicate, a neurocognitive disorder (dementia, Parkinson's), that is not related to the natural cognitive decline associated with aging. Following assessment and evaluation, feedback is provided in the form of a written report, that a person can discuss with their general practitioner or primary care team. The assessment battery session, scoring and interpretation, and written report are all included in the cognitive assessment fee (which ranges from €1200 to €1950).
